E ciudat ca e numit preot in introducere si la categorie cand din articol reiese clar ca a fost episcop.

Pare sa fie pt ca Biserica Romei nu-i recunoaste rangul episcopal, cum zice pe art. de pe Wikipedia, dupa care s-a facut art de limba engleza: "...by about 255 Hippolytus was considered a Catholic martyr and gives him the rank of a priest, not of a bishop, an indication that before his death the schismatic was received again into the bosom of the Church, or that significant action was taken at least posthumously to ensure no lasting schism between both popes' followers".
