Sfântul, slăvitul şi mult lăudatul Apostol Stahie este numărat printre Cei Şaptezeci de Apostoli. Împreună cu Apostolii Urban, Amplia, Narcis, Apelie şi cu Aristobul l-au asistat pe Sfântul Apostol Andrei. Sfântul Andrei l-a hirotonit pe Sfântul Stahie episcop în Bizanţ, unde şi-a păstorit turma cu credinţă şi ardoare timp de 16 ani. El a adormit în Domnul în pace şi este prăznuit în 31 octombrie.
